Most of our content may be viewed without providing any personally identifiable information. The exceptions are the Client Extranet and the four Contact forms. For these activities the collection of personally identifiable information is necessary. There may be others such as entering a contest or sweepstakes as well.

Information collected in the forms can vary, but will typically consist of your name, address, phone number and email address. Additional information about your organization may also be collected.

However, we will combine this information with personally identifiable information to identify a visitor in order to enforce compliance with our house rules or terms of service or to protect our service, site, users, or others.

Our site uses personally identifiable information in a limited number of ways. We use the information to complete transactions related to your requesting information and materials from us. We will also use information collected to notify you if you have won a game or contest. We may also use the information you provide to send you Greensboro events, news and related items.

We do not share or sell collected information about you to anyone else except for security or legal reasons. We will give out personal information as required by law, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Service, or site or game rules; or to protect the safety and security of users and our site.

The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our users is of utmost concern to us. The Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau takes technical, contractual, administrative and physical security steps to protect all visitors’ information. There are some things that you can do to help protect the security of your information as well. For instance, never distribute your password (if applicable), since this is what is used to access all of your account information. Also remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you finish surfing the Web, so that other people using the same computer would not have access to your information. This is especially critical for the Client Extranet which uses cookies.
