Guilford County Veterans Memorial

Dedicated on Sept. 14, 2002, this monument in Greensboro honors veterans past and present who served our nation. More than 400 personalized paver bricks honor members of the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines who wore the uniforms of our country and defended our freedoms.

Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park

The Carolina Field of Honor in Kernersville, established in 2014, stands as a poignant and historic tribute to the men and women who served in the Armed Forces. Veterans Day Flag Raising at Friendly Center

Join Greensboro on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 7:45 AM at the Friendly Center (3100 Kathleen Avenue) for the annual Veterans Day flag-raising ceremony. Hosted by the Marine Corps League – Greater Greensboro Detachment 260, the event features a flag-raising, rifle salute, and patriotic music. Free and open to the public, this ceremony is a meaningful way to honor and show gratitude for those who have served.

Operation Green Light in Greensboro, NC

Each November, Greensboro joins a national effort to honor veterans by illuminating homes, businesses, and public buildings with green lights from November 4–11, 2025. The green glow symbolizes gratitude and support for those who served. Residents and businesses are encouraged to participate by displaying a green light and sharing their involvement with #GuilfordGlowsGreen and #OperationGreenLight.
