A monument in Greensboro dedicated to the four N.C. A&T freshmen who launched the Greensboro lunch counter sit-in on Feb. 1, 1960, and all those who helped to support the movement.
The sculptor of the monument, James Barnhill, was inspired by their courage to challenge the social injustice of Jim Crow Laws and how the sit-in movement took hold and prevailed. Located in front of the historic Dudley Building on the North Carolina A&T State University campus.
